360Cities | georeferenced panoramic photos

 360Cities is an online collection of georeferenced panoramic photos from all over the world. Reviewed and high quality selected panoramas will be shown on a map. Selected fully spherical panoramas are also available in the Google Earth default Photos layer. Pan title and author credits are showed on the images and each photo can be commented by everyone. A dedicated blog connected to website is also available. [link]

Urban energy consumption and winter warming

The heat emitted into the environment from anthropogenic loads in large cities contributes to the increase of temperature at the global level. This is the result of a study conducted by Ming Cai, Florida State University and published in the journal Nature Climate Change, which involved 86 cities in the northern hemisphere. [link]
